Happy Friday, lovelies! Today, I want to talk about the unsightly parts of our homes that serve an important purpose, but don’t do us any favors style-wise. At the top of my list? Light switches. Sure, they usually blend into the wall and normally aren’t too hideous, but their placement is what kills the vibe. An awkwardly placed light switch can ruin a good gallery wall or entryway aesthetic quicker than anything.
I’m so glad that a company like Legrand finally has a solution! When Legrand first reached out to me I wasn’t sure what to think. Light switches? That’s not something I typically imagine I can change…but once I saw them? Come to momma!
The most exciting part didn’t even end up being how pretty they are, but how smart they are. Isn’t that always the case?? We ended up outfitting our home with the Brushed Brass Wall Plates, Dual USB Outlets, Wi-Fi Ready outlets and Wi-Fi sofTap Switches. We can now plug USB cords directly into some of our outlets and turn our switches or outlets on just by asking them (Alexa helps with that). We can also use our phones to control the lighting! For busy parents of two little ones that is huge…especially when we’re headed to bed at night, too exhausted to walk around turning everything off.
My husband was able to install all of this himself, Legrand prides itself on the adorne Collection being easy to install and it was! The only issues we had were due to wiring problems that already existed in our home and we had great experiences with Legrand’s technical support when we had questions. They also have a ton of instructional videos online that are very helpful.
