Happy Fall! I can finally say that without feeling like a fraud;) It’s been cool and rainy the past couple of days here in North Texas and I’m so excited. I think it’s the perfect time to give you a little tour of our home dressed for fall and the bonus is you’ll get to see a ton of other blogger’s homes by following the links at the end of this post. These are some of the most talented home bloggers out there so you’re definitely in for a treat.
With that said, grab a cup of pumpkin coffee and come on in!
Our front door leads right into our formal entry and it’s one of my favorite spaces to decorate. This year, I added some muted, Cinderella pumpkins from Trader Joe’s (plus a tiny one, can you spot it?), simple wheat stalks and my cotton wreath to make things a little cozier. The vintage paper cutter is also a new addition and while it isn’t necessarily a fall piece, isn’t it just the best??
Just past the formal entry is the library and a space that serves as our informal entry (it’s also just off the door to the garage). This area is easily updated with seasonal accessories like a cute scarf and cozy bag. Our new shoes for fall also add to the ambiance right? 😉
A new white kitchen fits in nicely with fall…
I painted our kitchen cabinets white in August (yup, took me the entire month) and I’m so glad I did. It completely transformed the kitchen and because this room is open to our living and dining it’s essentially transformed the house. We plan on installing a white, subway tile backsplash in the next few months, but for right now we’re just glad to have a functioning kitchen again.
Just past the kitchen is the living room, which is definitely the heart of our home…
A new sign with lyrics to Bob Dylan’s, Forever Young adorns the mantel and I could cry every time I read it. To keep the theme neutral, but cozy, I finished off the fireplace with covered books, simple muted pumpkins and more wheat stalks.
The gallery wall got the biggest refresh for fall. That breathtaking photo in the middle is from Anewall and it just screamed fall to me. I also added a printable with my favorite thankful verse, wheat and cotton stems.
A soft, velvet pumpkin and cozy throw finish things off nicely.
The fall goodness continues here in the dining room. The open shelves make it easy for me to update this space with the seasons. Like the rest of my fall decor I stayed neutral and simple with…you guessed it: white pumpkins and wheat;) If it works, it works people!
Can you see the change? The fun the thing about decorating for these home tours is it forces you to be creative and use what you have. While I was shooting this room I realized I had the perfect storage space for my placemats on my shelves. It adds great height and texture to the shelves while clearing the table between mealtimes for our coffee cups, books and laptops that so often end up here.
And yes, that’s a Martha Stewart decor book from the 90’s. Classic never goes out of style, y’all.
Well, that’s a wrap on fall in our home! I’m so very grateful you stopped by and I hope you got a little inspiration for updating your home with the season.
I also hope you continue to follow the tour and check out the beautiful homes of the other bloggers on this hop. They are incredible and you won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely beautiful Hayley! I’m embarrassed to say that it’s my first time at your blog–I’m so impressed. I loved so many things–your front door and entry way table are so charming and pretty–your kitchen is warm and inviting–Forever Young gets me teary too and what a beautiful sentiment to have over the mantle, it’s a wonderful reminder. Your home is stylish and pretty, yes, but it’s still authentic and full of life. Sometimes all white decor feels cold, but yours does not. I’m so glad we did this hop together.
