The art of the vignette…when I first dove into this online design world, they were huge. A fun way to express the vibe of your home or a great way to add some seasonal fun to your spaces. Somewhere along the way I started seeing less and less of them, but I think that’s a shame because they’re an inexpensive way to refresh your spaces!
For the Halloween season I wanted to add some cute, spooky vignettes to our schoolroom because my girl loves her some Halloween. I teamed up with Kirland’s again because they have the best seasonal decor around and always have affordable, trendy pieces that are perfect for a statement-making vignette.
What do you think? The adorable, black pumpkins, candle, wooden apple, bat pillow and cat canister are all from Kirkland’s. I love a vignettes because there is a simple formula and once you get that down you can apply it to any vignette you create in the future. All you have to do is:
- Group your pieces in 3’s or 5’s
- Vary the height of your decor pieces
- Mix up your textures (make sure you have something lively, something soft and something hard, etc.)
That’s it! Thanks for stopping by and checking out our spooky fun. I hope these tips will help you with your next vignette!
