There are so many fun things about the holiday season, but I’m really looking forward to having some family come in and stay with us for Christmas! My friends at Serena and Lily got me thinking about being guest ready though, and making sure our home is as welcoming and comfortable as possible.
Our house isn’t big, we don’t even have a guest room, so I never think a lot about having guests stay, but hospitality is so important and something that’s been on my heart lately. I want to be a better host and always welcome people into our home with open arms.
Thanks to Serena and Lily, we get to do that with a little luxury and a lot of style this year!
We elevated our guest bath in a serious way with Serena and Lily’s beautiful towels (I love so many of their collections I couldn’t choose just one so I had to mix and match;)), a plush bathmat and one of their iconic dip-dyed stools.
Honestly, I’ve never had such luxurious bath pieces – I’m so excited to spoil our guests with them!
If it’s possible, the bedding is even more fun. It’s important to me for our guests to sleep in a comfortable, fresh bed – my vision is a cozy hotel vibe, do you feel me??
I love Serena and Lily’s bedding because it’s so gorgeous it makes you feel like you’re staying in a 5 star hotel, but it’s incredibly comfortable too – you’re almost guaranteed a good night’s rest in these sheets.
I love the idea of putting a completely fresh set of sheets and even a duvet or pillows out for guests. I just think it makes everyone more comfortable – especially if you don’t have a guest room like us and they’ll be sleeping somewhere that’s normally occupied.
Speaking of guest ready tips, these are a few I’m planning on following the holiday season…
- Keep things fresh: Recently laundered, fluffed linens and towels out when they arrive!
- Room service: Stuff a small basket full of cough drops, ear plugs, lip balm and a card with your wifi password. Have it waiting for them in their room.
- Toiletries a la hotel: Put out a few travel size toiletries in the bathroom just in case they forgot something!
- Feels like home: Ask what their favorite kind of coffee or tea is ahead of time and have it ready for them when they wake up that first morning.
These are serious goals! 👆🏻…and if I succeed my mom will be super impressed and shocked;) What are your guest ready tips for the holidays?
Don’t forget to check out Serena and Lily’s Sleep Well sale event. Today, October 28th, is the last day and you’ll save 30% on all bedding and beds!
