Do you put things like family photos on the back-burner, too? Please tell me I’m not the only one. I put it off for one reason or the other and then when we finally get around to taking them, I think, “Why don’t we do that more often??”. Recently, my friend Lindsay Hughes took our family photos for us and I’m so, so grateful that we finally did it.
One of the reasons I put off taking family photos is because I never know if we’ll be able to get good, natural shots of the kids that really show their personalities (you know, like those stellar iPhone pics I take all the time😉), but with Lindsay I had nothing to worry about. It was witching hour, everyone was hungry and Lindsay still managed to capture dozens of gorgeous pictures of my kids.
…the ones of mom and dad didn’t turn out too shabby either.
I just wanted to hop on here and share these because I’m so incredibly proud of them and I can’t wait to hang them in our home. I often get asked about how I incorporate family photos into designed spaces and photos like these make it easy. If you’re wanting to add more personal photos to your house I highly recommend doing a family shoot. Make sure you ask for a beautiful, natural backdrop and choose neutral clothing so you can hang them all year long and not just during the holidays.
…Lindsay also got a few headshots, which I’m not mad about. Thanks for capturing these treasures, Lindsay – they mean the world to us!
