Are you ready for some more bedroom goodness??…because that doesn’t sound weird;) I’ll be honest, every time I say something about the bedroom on here or on Instagram, I feel like I’m being totally creepy, ha!
Anyway, back to to the bedroom…
In Part One I focused on our new reading chair from Home Reserve and my hacked IKEA dresser. Today, I want to tell you more about the gallery wall above our dresser and new details around the bed.
That is a ceiling fan, I kid you not. Can you believe it?? I’ve searched for years, literally, for a halfway-decent looking fan and didn’t believe my eyes when I first saw this Hepburn Fan from Hunter Fan Company.
I adore the gold and white and the sleek design that makes it almost seamless with the ceiling. As soon as we put it up our bedroom ceiling seemed so much higher.
The fact of the matter is, we’re in Texas. And my husband and I are both very hot natured. A fan is a must in our room and I honestly can’t believe that I found one that’s so beautiful I have no desire to trade it in for a chandelier. If you’re the market for a fan that delivers function and aesthetic, check out Hunter, they have so many great options.
Another important update in this room is the new rug situation. Previously, we had an 8×10 shag rug under our bed and while it was beautiful in the beginning and heaven under my feet it just didn’t hold up well. I picked too bright of a white…imagine that;)
Bedroom rugs are hard. Most of the time, you truly need one to ground your furniture and make things cozier (even if you already have carpet), but placement has always been issue for me. I like to step out of bed onto a plush rug instead a hard floor, but I hate spending tons of money on a large rug that is mostly hidden under our king bed.
What’s a girl to do? Runners!
I went with two runners this time and it was the perfect decision. The cost was so economical, they anchor the space perfectly and my feet are happy in the morning. You can find them here.
The final piece to this puzzle is our new gallery wall. This was one of those ideas that just kind of fell together. I’ve always loved clean, monochromatic gallery walls. Normally, I would fill these frames with small black and white photos, but a few weeks ago I ran across these quotation cards from Sugarboo while shopping in my favorite store, Roanoke Trading Company in Roanoke, TX. I was flipping through the stack of cards and adored each one I read. Genuinely, they all spoke to me and I knew I had to have them and not only that, but create something meaningful with them.
Thus, the quote gallery wall was born.
And that is our newly refreshed master bedroom! My design goals for this room are always: peaceful, romantic and cozy, and I think I achieved that. The room feels complete now and it’s a space we love.
Let me know what you think and thanks for stopping by, lovelies!
xoxo,
Hayley
