We’re here, Lovelies! It’s time for Christmas Home Tours and I couldn’t be more excited to share our home with you in holiday style and join the ladies of the Joyful Holiday Home Tour for another year. I love these ladies and they are some of the most talented home bloggers out there so don’t miss even one of their homes – they’re all incredible!
This year, I decided to keep things simple again. I love how this style allows our home to keep its identity and let’s be honest – it’s a heck of a lot easier to put away, cheaper and less stressful. Those are all wins in my book this time of year!
I will say, after I took these photos we decorated the tree, added more greenery throughout and a lot more twinkly lights. I’ll follow up next week with a Christmas Home Tour, Part II so you don’t miss those fun details!
I don’t really stick to a theme for holiday decor, but this year I wanted to make sure I incorporated a lot of natural, soft elements. The birch garland that I found in a boutique in Fredericksburg, TX is one of my favorite things in the house this year and although the eucalyptus garland draped throughout the house isn’t real I think it’s gorgeous all the same…and it will never dry out😉
If it’s been a while since you visited the blog you might notice most of our furniture is new. I was lucky enough to partner with Bassett Furniture this year and we’re blown away with the changes we were able to make to our living and dining room thanks to them. You can find more details about that fun transformation here.
One of my favorite Christmas DIY’s this year is our painted nativity set. I’ve had this traditional set for a few years now and adore it because it’s similar to the one I grew up with, but it never quite fit into our home. Thanks to Shelley at Crazy Wonderful Blog, who posted the genius idea of giving your nativity a refresh with some white chalk paint, it’s perfect!
Our tree is from King of Christmas and for the second year in row we love it. It’s so lifelike in person and the flocking is just perfect – not to mention it hardly sheds at all. For most of my life I’ve had a real tree, but I hear it’s pretty rare for a flocked tree not to make a mess.
And that’s it for our Joyful Holiday Home Tour! Please don’t miss out on the tours below – there is so much holiday inspiration and the women behind these designs are amazing. Have a happy Wednesday, Lovelies!
